Jill McGowan presents Buteyko trial results at British Thoracic Society Conference

Jill McGowan presented the results of the Glasgow clinical trial at the British Thoracic Society Winter Conference on 4th December 2003 at 16h15 in Queen Elizabeth Building, Mountbatten Room, London.

Jill McGowan had a meeting with MP Anne Campbell (who had learnt the Buteyko method herself) in 2002. A Parliamentary Adjournment Debate on Buteyko then occurred at Westminster on 25th June 2002.

This led to a further meeting with MP Ian Gibson, who then arranged for a discussion to take place with Jill McGowan and two of the doctors involved in the study. The outcome of this was an invitation to submit an abstract from the study to the British Thoracic Society Winter Conference 2003 in London.

The abstract was peer reviewed and accepted by at least three senior representatives of the Thoracic Society.
